McLEANSBORO — The Hamilton County Lady Foxes softball team had a successful weekend at the Benton Invitational on Saturday and through the week picked up a 5-0 win over Wayne City on April 28 on the road, but suffered a 2-1 loss to Elkville on May 1.

The Hamilton County Lady Foxes' Nikki Ojala signed a letter of intent Monday to attend Rend Lake College on a golf scholarship next season.

McLEANSBORO — Youth, pitching and experience look to be major strengths this spring for Hamilton County High School baseball coach Jeff Gray, whose Foxes return seven starters and most of their pitching staff from a year ago.

McLEANSBORO — It was an eventful night on March 11 as the Hamilton County eighth-grade volleyball Junior Lady Foxes of coach Debbie Barker made the short bus trip to Benton Middle School for the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Class L regional.
