Vernon Lee “Juggy” Cutt Jr.

Vernon Lee “Juggy” Cutt Jr., 35, of Mt. Vernon died at 4:42 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at his home in Mt. Vernon.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1972, in Mt. Vernon, son of Ver-non Lee Cutt Sr., and Darlene (Sauls) Cutt. He married Melissa Shorb on May 12, 1993.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial followed at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Juggy is survived by a son, Garrett Cutt of Belle Rive; two sisters, Cherri Cross of McLeansboro and Kim Deforest and husband Jesse of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Terry Lee Cutt and Brenda Davis of Bluford; and several nieces and nephews.

His beloved companion, Rowdy, his parents and special friend Sarah Rollin-son preceded him in death.

Juggy was a builder at General Tire in Mt. Vernon and was an avid golfer and member of Indian Hills Country Club in Mt. Vernon.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Garrett Cutt Trust Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL, 62864.
