Grace Marian Schoolcraft, 83, of Miami Springs, Fla., and formerly of Broughton, died at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Hialeah Hospital in Hialeah, Fla.
Mrs. Schoolcraft was a retired professional nurse and dental assistant.
She was born in Hamilton County on Feb. 21, 1925, a daughter of Joseph C. and Effie (Barnwell) Bealmer. She married William C. “Bill” Schoolcraft; he preceded her in death.
Graveside memorial funeral services were Saturday at Hickory Hill Cemetery, near Broughton, with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Gholson Funeral Home, McLeansboro, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Schoolcraft is survived by a son, William Randall Baker and wife Robin of Miami Springs, Fla.; a stepson, Stephen Schoolcraft and wife Alexis of Barrington; a daughter, Rebeccah Smith and husband Raymond of Lenoir City, Tenn.; a sister, Virginia Williams of Burlington, Iowa; and six grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Gregory Baker; two sisters, Kathlyn Irvin and Ruby Bealmer; and one brother, Howard C. Bealmer.
