Ronald “Lloyd” Devoy
Ronald “Lloyd” Devoy, 64, of Enfield, died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Mr. Devoy was a retired boilermaker, truck driver and farmer.
He was born in Evansville, Ind., on Aug. 29, 1943, a son of Raymond and Bernice (Blake) Devoy. He married Sue Carter on Dec. 5, 1964, at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Father Stephen Rudolphi officiating. Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Enfield.
Mr. Devoy is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter Kelly Boggess and husband Junior of Eldorado; son Roger Devoy and wife Susie of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Heidi Farmer and husband Jon of Harrisburg, Damian Boggess, Gretchen Boggess and Fallon Boggess, all of Eldorado, and Elijah Devoy, Rebecca Devoy and Harley Devoy, all of Enfield; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Sue Farmer and Hallie Belle Boggess; and sisters Sharon York of McLeansboro and Kathy Metcalf of McLeansboro.
Mr. Devoy was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Enfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Dennis Ray Devoy.
