Leda M. Daily

— Leda M. Daily, 93, of Mt. Vernon and formerly of McLeansboro, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Daily was a homemaker.
She was born in Hamilton County on July 8, 1914, a daughter of Edgar and Lou (Bennett) Harrelson. She married Albert Daily on June 27, 1931 in McLeansboro; he preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Gary Davenport officiating. Interment was at Blooming Grove Cemetery, near McLeansboro.
Mrs. Daily is survived by sons Donald Daily and wife Joyce of McLeansboro, Bob Daily and wife Connie of Oakville, Mo., Ed Daily and wife Joyce of Crossville, Tenn., and Michael Daily and wife Cheryl of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughters Virginia Durham and husband Oliver of McLeansboro and Joyce Ann Williams and husband Gary of Pocahontas; grandchildren Terry Mayberry, Charlotte Knauss, Sandra Daily Aydt, Gregory Daily, April L. Daily McSalley, Jeffrey Daily, Eric Lee Williams, Andrea Daily Clausen and Matthew Daily; brothers and sisters, Roy Harrelson of Mt. Vernon, Ella May Hiltibidal of Mt. Vernon and Melba Hiltibidal of McLeansboro; and 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Leda was a member of Delafield Baptist Church, and for many years she attended Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother.
