Together with their parents, Elecia Gholson and Andy Romig announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Elecia is the daughter of Jerome Gholson and Sharron Gholson, both of McLeansboro. She is the granddaughter of Elmo and Abbie Gholson of McLeansboro, Harry Ramsey of Harrisburg and Virginia Grifford of Detroit, Mich., all deceased.
Elecia is a 2001 graduate of McLeansboro High School, a 2004 graduate of the registered nursing program at Rend Lake College and a 2011 graduate of Chamberlain College of Nursing with a bachelor’s degree in the science of nursing.
She currently attends Florida State College at Jacksonville and will graduate the funeral service program in December 2013.
Andy is the son of Gary and Laura Romig of Jacksonville, Fla. He is the grandson of Agnes and the late Charles Romig of Jacksonville and George and Mary Pavlac of Cleveland, both deceased.
Andy is a 2004 graduate of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville and currently works at Ports America as a terminal logistics coordinator at the Hoegh Autoliners Shipping Terminal at Blount Island, Fla.
Elecia and Andy will be married on Jan. 25, 2014, at Deercreek Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. Formal invitations are being sent.
The couple plans to reside in McLeansboro.
