Wedding: Iles — Barton

Daphne Lorraine Iles of Broughton and Anthony Colt Barton of Broughton were married in a private wedding on Feb. 15, 2008, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Brownsville.

Officiating was Pastor Wayne Vaupel, friend of the groom, from McLeansboro.

The bride is the daughter of Wendy Iles of Carmi. She is a 2007 graduate of Carmi High School and works at Fred’s in Eldorado.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of McLeanboro High School and works for Ingram Barge Co. of Paducah. He is the son of Dusty and Michelle Rhodes of Norris City and Keith and Billie Barton of Eldorado.

Nicolette Sanchez of Carmi, a sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. The musician was Carla Hankins from Galatia, a friend of the groom. The bride’s mother gave her away at the wedding.

Michael Rhodes of Broughton, brother of the groom, was best man.

The reception was held at the American Legion in Eldorado; it was decorated with pink ribbons and candles. Flower arrangements for the church and hall were done by Angel Maloney of Norris City.

The wedding cake was a three-layer white cake with pink and white flowers done by Alicia Allen of Norris City. The cake-and-punch table was manned by Jackie McKenzie of Norris City and Helen Hardy, grandmother of the groom, of Eldorado.

Photos for Colt and Daphne to have memories of this day were taken by Jana and Gena Johnson of Omaha.

The couple honeymooned at Paducah and is now at home in Broughton.
