Two face meth charges

McLEANSBORO — One of two men charged here last month with methamphetamine-related and other felony offenses pleaded not guilty last week in Hamilton County Circuit Court.
Jesse J. Robinson Jr., 36, no address listed, is scheduled for a bond reduction hearing at a pretrial court appearance at 9 a.m. Dec. 3, according to court records.
Robinson and co-defendant David R. Cobble, no age or addresses listed, were being held on $150,000 bond each in White County Jail, Carmi.
Cobble was formally charged Oct. 22 with unlawful possession of meth and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container, both Class 3 felonies, according to court records.
Robinson pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal damage to government-supported property and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container, both Class 3 felonies, and aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, a Class 4 felony, court records stated.
He is accused of driving more than 21 mph over the speed limit in trying to elude Hamilton County Chief Deputy Will Sandusky, who was trying to stop the black Ford F150 which Robinson was driving Oct. 22 on Illinois Route 242, court records indicate.
Robinson is also accused of causing more than $500 damage to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department vehicle on Illinois 242, the charge states.
Cobble is accused of possession of less than 5 grams of meth, also on Oct. 22, that charge states.
At his court appearance Nov. 19, Robinson’s jury trial was scheduled for 9 a.m. Jan. 25, with a final pretrial conference set for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7.
Cobble is set for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. Dec. 21.
